'Street Owl' was originally painted on an old bit of cardboard that was headed to the recycling. I had an idea to mix my usual detailed style with a nod to street art and I just went for it, mixing media and painting without intention or a plan.
I love how this turned out and the cardboard gave this piece and unexpected depth and texture.
